Money Advice(Debt)

If you are in debt and having difficulty or unable to meet your financial outgoings the bureau can often help. A Money Advice specialist will help you to draw up a financial statement detailing income and outgoings and debts and creditor details. The debts will be broken down into priority and non-priority and an individual strategy for repayment if possible will be developed. Other options such as bankruptcy will be considered if appropriate.

The specialist will negotiate directly with creditors, usually resulting in acceptance of repayment offers and often preventing court action. Further help can be given if court action goes ahead, including representation if necessary. Long term support is often part of the money advice process.
